On Monday 25th on June ‘Browns Independent Bar’ in Coventry refused to serve a group of grieving soldiers tea and coffee, because they ...were wearing their military uniform, on the day they were burying a brother, Cpl Michael Thacker. Truly disgusting!
The 6 Pall-bearer’s (and others, including their CO) had been rehearsing their duties in the morning, before the funeral, and had an opportunity to refuel on teas and coffees (not alcohol) before the actual ceremony. Please do not get confused in thinking they where turned away for their attitude or behavior, it was merely their uniforms.

Since this a group on facebook has been set up
And with 39,758 members that is continually growing I feel immensely proud to be from Coventry.
In a time of which I sometimes struggle to see the community being just that, something like this happens and we all pull together to support.
It seems not only were the soldiers picked on because of there uniforms that over the past 20 years Browns seemed to have picked and chose as they pleased who they were to let in via skin colour, what clothes you were wearing, is you have a disability. This is truly sickening and something they should be deeply ashamed for.
It is such a shame that it is in light of such sadness and such a disgraceful situation.
But Coventry is doing there bit to support.. Boycott Browns!!!
