What I have in my hospital bag

I wrote this as a Guest Post for Bras 4 Mums Pregnancy blog, but felt that my followers would like to see this post also :)

What I have in my hospital bag

well actually I don’t just have one I have 3 lined up one for me, one for baby 2 and one for K as while I am in the process of evicting his little brother he shall be staying at his aunty Amys (my best friend’s).

So down to business what do I have in my bag firstly I thought lots of comfy pyjamas with the main part being they will that I will be able to get my boob out I was very impressed actually as I took my mum and K into town and pretty much got my whole hospital clothing from primark. I chose a long grey checkered nightshirt, a massive fleecy dressing gown which I am sooo tempted to get out and wrap around me every time I think about it, a pair of comfy grey boot slippers, a pair of pink zebra pyjamas which k picked out to which I couldn’t resist as it means I have some jarmies from k in my bag. I have my hospital gownie from the pretty company which I shall be wearing when in actually labour “push”. 2 maternity bras, 2 pairs of sock and a big black towel. That is all for the clothing ooow apart from my new skinny outfit which I am really hoping will fit consisting of the trousers I have been waiting to buy for 9months which I splurged out on, and the jumper that was with them (when I went to buy them they were the outfit in the window!) then I have my toiletries mini shampoo, conditioner, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a hairbrush, a head band and some hair bobbles. My personal products I have lots of thick sanitary which I am not looking forward to using :l lots of breast pads and a few pairs of big knickers and some nipple cream and my mamascarf so when it’s visiting time I don’t have my boob on show if I have a hungry baby. I also have my Ipod which I need to add a few giving birth songs on. I think that is my maternity bag packed, my maternity bag is so pretty it is cream with pink roses, it has wheels and a handle that comes out of the side!!

OOW AND DON’T FORGET YOUR CAMERA!!!!

For Baby 2 I have packed a coming home blanket, a baby towel with a hood, a fleecey I love Mummy Winnie the pooh outfit, a fluffy mini bear outer coat it’s so cute it has a little tail 2 coming home outfits so I can decide when I am there one is a monster dungarees with little dinosaur feet ect the other is a grey dungaree with blue stars on. I have 3/4 baby vests, and 3/4 sleep suits, 3 bibs, 2 hairs, a set of little socks, a load of nappies and some cotton wool although I shall be using water wipes for cleaning his bum I have quite a few nappies , and some head to toe bath and wash that can even be used in the first bath, I have also packed a dummy although I am hoping he will just be happy with having cuddles from mummy. I also packed some mittens, although I know how they managed to get them off quickly so I am going to share my tip of using baby socks hehe, although the outfits I have brought a few of them have the pull over bits for there little hands attached on the arms.Obviously K’s bag isn’t quite so picky although he is very excited that it is a Toy Story bag and he is excited he will be having a new little brother and staying at Amys with Chantelle who is my gorgeous little god daughter.

Message to Baby 2 we are all ready and packed for you and now very eager to meet you… bring on the contractions!!!! ... This leads me to my next post on how my labour went and what I actually used! :P
