Have you seen the new product from Yoomi?

Watch my Video :)

What A New Addition thinks:
The Yoomi pod is definitely the way forward for Yoomi. No more Faffing with having to pop the charger into water and boil them. As far as the Yoomi feeding system goes I think Yoomi is a fabulous idea. The bottles are big and sturdy. The teats are boob like and any product that saves parents time and allows them extra time to stay in bed is always a plus for me.

Do you use Yoomi Products? What is your favourite? What is your opinion?

I received the Yoomi feeding system for review purposes, My views are 100% honest and my own.

Who Am I??

In the Past few weeks I have seen some very eye opening things about myself, some I like and some… not so much. It has made me realise that I need to change and appreciate more who I have in my life. That I need to realise that everything that I now do affects my children and if I want to be successful (I do, I do) then things need to change. In order to change, I am writing how I would like to be living in 5 year’s time.

In 5 years’ time I would like to be happily living as Mr and Mrs in our own house which we have mortgaged. Decorated to my standard with the Cutest Furniture, A BIG garden for the Boys with a tree house they can play in. I would have an office, which was organised to perfection and colour coordinated to which jobs on which days. A schedule to which I keep to everyday and a cleaner that pops round once a week.
My Business will be successful in a way I will enjoy and I will still have time to do the fun things that mummy’s do like cuddles and hot chocolate with a Film or going and seeing the Stinky animals at the Farm. I find having my boys has made me vulnerable, I miss the old me where I trusted no one unless proven otherwise and wasn’t trampled on like a Door mat. I would like to think my presence will be more of a professional front than the immature and worried nature I am finding I am clinging to, and I will be more certain of who I am. Who am I??
We will have taken our boys to meet Mickey Mouse in the Florida sun, and I could dance with Prince Charming like I did as a child, apart from now I have my own real life Prince charming.*cue sick bucket!
I would like to be in a nice Stable place when I could occasionally go out and treat myself to a sexy pair of designer shoes and every desert had something from Marks and Spencer’s.

I very much think at the moment things can only get better, after all Life is how you make it.

A day in the life of a midwife…

This post was sent to me by a midwife I know who for confidentiality reasons would like to be kept Anonymous
A day in the life of a midwife…
It begins with the alarm waking me up at the hour of 06.30, its cold, dark and wet outside and my bed is so warm, but bring on the 13 hour shift! I throw on my scrubs and eat a big bowl of cereal – not a fan of early breakfasts but this may be the only meal I get for a good few hours so it’s a must!
Shift starts at 07.30 but I arrive 15 minutes early so I can check the board and she what happened to the lady I looked after the day before. I’d spent most of the previous shift with this lovely, yet very anxious first time mum to be, her partner wasn’t great with hospitals so there had been a lot of apprehension in the room for a long while. We’d sat down and had long chats about life, love and babies and I’d left the room at the end of my shift feeling reassured that they were comfortable and more relaxed about the labour process. She’d been doing well when I left, coping without any pain relief and seemed the sort who would ‘get on with it’ so I wished her all the best and said I’d pop over to the postnatal ward the next day to catch up. I was glad when I didn’t see her name on the board the next morning however

Boob VS Boob... can you get too much?

Before I start this story I would like to say I formula/bottle fed my first son, and have been successfully exclusively breastfeeding my second son since he was born.
breastfeeding, breastfeed,breast
This is a story about something that happened while I was out and about still pregnant with baby boy 2, we were in a big shopping facility and a lady casually walked past with her baby in a sling (not feeding) and she just had her breast out, I was a bit took back by it surely that's a bit odd.

I thought for a bit about my reaction:

Should I be supporting her? yes I support her breast feeding all day long but did she really need it out when her baby wasn't feeding?

Am I wrong to feel like this? Society today sexualises breasts far too much when I feed my own son I use a cover or my feeding scarf and I still find I get looks and people telling me they have a seat in the toilets.... ermm no thanks, I am not really sure how to answer this I personally wasn't offended by seeing her boob but I was a bit took back by the fact that she just had it out for the sake of it.

I know on a daily basis mums just feeding their child are getting abuse from passers by like Claire's story so  may be she was just taking her own personal stand??

I wonder myself now I am a breastfeeding mummy and this happened again would I be so shocked or would I give her a high five!!

I would love to hear your comments on this.

I am Back.......

After having nearly 7 weeks off enjoying my gorgeous mini man and little big man A New Addition is now back up and running woohoo!!

So what have I been up to??
I have been.. a mummy!! Tidying, Cleaning, Baking, doing the school run and all of this with a baby attached to my boob!! To which I am very proud to say that nearly 7 weeks in he still hasn't had a bottle... I am a very proud mummy mummy of 2 :)

How do I feel in myself??
Over 1 stone heavier, smelling of eurgh mostly all the time, constantly tired and UN-organised even though I spend my whole day trying to be!! I feel drained, emotional when I look at myself in the mirror or look at old photos yet the happiest I have ever been does this even make sense? lol

How is my Big Little Man coping with the baby?
He is amazing, he s the best big brother I could of ever hoped for he holds his hand when he is upset, he gives him loves and kisses in the morning and at night. He will go and get the nappy and baby wipes even when he wasnot asked just to be helpful as you can tell from the above photo we are all glowing with love <3

NOW BACK TO BUSINESS, IN THE NEXT WEEKS I WILL BE RE SORTING MY BLOG AND GETTING ON TOP AND ORGANISED, ANY TIPS WILL BE GREATFULLY RECEIVED <3 Xx
