First Impression of Gumigem

A Gumigem from Gumigem.co.uk

The sticker on the bag I pulled off from the packaging for the purpose of this photo, I received my Gumigem in this adorable little bag and a Card with the main points about this product.

This is a necklace with the thought of teething babies, this has been made in a similar material to most teethers, it can be worn by an adult to enable the baby to chew away to their hearts content.... instead of your clothes or whatever else they usually grab lol.
  •  It Can be sterilised or put in the dishwasher just remove cord
  •  Is BPA, lead, latex and phtalkate free.
  •  This necklace is intended for the caregiver and never to be left unattended with a child.
When looking on the Gumigem website it also states it 'has a high tear strength so you can be confident it will stay intact'

Here is me wearing my GUMIGEM-Heart-Pendant

I think for a product to wear to help your baby while teething it is quite stylish, I will do another post, once baby is here and teething for my opinions of what I think to product and baby. However my first impression is that it is a handy product to own for mummy and baby :D

First Impression of Modern Cloth Nappy from Bums up

First Impressions

A modern cloth Nappy from Bums up

My First Impression was Ohmygosh... How do I use this... so I emailed the lady from bums up who told me:

Basically its like stuffing a pillow - push the micro fibre liner inside the pocket opening and make sure its flat and covering the inside area, then you fasten the poppers from bottom to top (depending on babies size) there are 2 stud options, and on either side you just fit around babies waist - i would suggest to keep them even so if you fasten 3 in - do so on both sides, they are made to fit babies from birth, however depending on babies size, may be a bit big for prem or small babies.

This is the Microfibre insert which you fit into the pocket below:

Then you press the press studs to make the size of the nappy you wish to Have.

The press studs in the lower part of the nappy are to sort the length of the Nappy and the press studs on the top are to adjust width of the Nappy.

I now feel alot more confident about using Reusable nappies when baby 2 is here and will keep you updated :)

Review of The Dodo Book of the Big Bump

I received this product from: Dodopad
a new addition, Dodopad
9½" x 8" (240 x 200mm), laminated ring binder with 100 pages, 12 pockets/dividers, pregnancy diary and a strong elastic bandeau to hold everything neatly inside.

I really Love mine!! I write everything and more in it daily, from baby names that I have been thinking about, how I am going to treat myself to in pregnancy... to my thoughts on how to decorate the childrens room. There are is a pregnancy planner, so I have wrote appointments I need to go to and then how they went. I really don't think I would be without mine now :) It is also something I can pull out when my baby is teenage to show them how icky they made me feel and how I couldn't eat my favourite things hehe (not even hot chocolate!!) I think I am also going to use mine as a sort of scrap book for ideas too, by sticking in pictures of things I am interested in or want.

Whilst doing this review there was a question of something I was unsure of so I contacted the company on twitter Lord_dodo, I was contacted by a really lovely lady called Rebecca who even rang me to make sure she understood my query!! I am very Impressed by the service and the answer to my question was: Yes you can buy spare paper for the bump book, and no you cannot buy spare seperators but seriously I don't think you would need an extra one everything has pretty much been accounted for. It was just a question so I could tell you guys :)

The Bump book is seperated into categorys, I think everything is covered I cannot think about one that would be needed, could you?

On the seperators there are Illustrated humourous quotes, I have to say my favourite is on childcare 'People who say they sleep like a baby usually don't have one. Leo J Burke

There are 2 Types of paper in this book, one I have already mentioned which is the Pregnancy Planner paper the other is squared paper with a cute dodo picture in the corner, I will be using the squared paper to help scrap book my ideas aswell as any lists and anything else I have in my head at the time lol, In the Planner paper I insert my feelings and emotions and also all the dates/appointments I need to remember.

My Only Con with this product is that there wasn't a holder for my pen.

I would and have recommend this to my pregnant friends, it is a fantastic organiser and keepsake for the future, and if you aren't pregnant but looking for a present for a pregnant friend.. I would highly recommend

Review Palmers Stretchmark Sample Pack

I won a Competition from PalmersUK on Facebook and here are the Photos of the Sample Pack I won.

Palmers, Stretchmark, Baby

And 2 Sample sachets, The Baby Butter I shall be saving for when my baby is born :D

The 2 Stretch mark lotions and cream coming from the top Right have a lovely smooth texture, they stop the itch of your stomach stretching when massaged in. I found the Cocoa smell very relaxing.. and gorgeous smelling.

The Tummy butter soaks in very well when put in the palm of your hand it instantly melts with the warmth, it doesn't have the lovely nice strong cocoa smell the others have but it makes your skin feel Lovely

I have found my experience with cheaper body butters, lotions and creams just seem to just sit on my skin for a while and make sticky where as Palmers products were a delight to use, Lovely smelling soaks in well.

The cocoa butter for dry skin with vitamin was nabbed by my boyfriend as he gets sore legs, which he actually found to work. For taking the dryness soreness away.

I found using the oil when I woke up in the morning stopped the dry feeling I have been getting on my skin in the morning as my stomach begins to grow.

Although this is  'stretchmark' Pack I would say these products would be acceptable for Anyone to use, I used the Dry skin one on my son he is 3 and he LOVED the smell of it :)

If I was to recommend what I thought was the best of these products to a pregnant friend I would recommend the Tummy Butter as I just felt for me, this would be the one to work the best.

12+5 weeks Pregnancy bump

So far so good I think, I am now 12+5weeks pregnant but my bump is quite big (I think) because I am only in the early stages of pregnancy I cannot actually comment on how these products work on Stretchmarks but they do relieve the itchy feeling of stretching and I have no stretchmarks as of yet. As my samples are coming to an end I think I will have to go to the shop and buy some more products to try... So I will Update throughout my pregnancy on how I am doing with stretchmarks cross your fingers for me xx
