So how did we get on
My son is absolutely Petrified of the dark, he is obsessed that as soon as the light goes off that the monsters are all out to get him!! And even though he has his light on he needs his TV on also in case the light bulb goes, to which he will still scream that he is scared!
When the Twilight turtle arrived he was very excited to use it although anxious he slept with it but kept the light on.
I have been testing for over a month and we still haven't overcome the actual being scared of the dark. but even though the starts with show over his whole room if put in the middle he likes to have it next to him, so that his many star warriors will protect him from the monsters if they come! <-- Bless him!
My Opinion
I haven't sat with my son to do the star guide but I have made sure that he knows that the turtle is his and that he has 'adopted' it. I just think that because he is still frightened of the dark actually sitting him in it to show him the stars he will not pay attention and will just scream/cry.
My opinion is that these are brilliant, I would and have already recommended them to other mummy's whether it be because their child is scared of the dark or because there baby won't stay positioned on there back and this will give them something on the ceiling to focus on. Or even just something that will make them feel calm, I have put this into my room a few times just because I think it is so lovely and soothing.
